About Us
Krin Baer, Founder and Lead Companion
Krin brings a unique mix of hard-earned wisdom and genuine care to his work with nonprofit leaders and their teams. After years of leading teams and individuals through both stormy and sunny seasons, he's learned that the best path forward usually starts with understanding yourself and the people around you.
As someone who has experienced failure and success, Krin knows what it's like to navigate tricky team dynamics, wrestle with strategic decisions, and face the constant pressure of fundraising. He's experienced both challenging leadership transitions and the inspiration of working alongside exceptional mentors. These experiences have shaped his approach to coaching and consulting – it's less about having all the answers and more about asking the right questions.
Krin has a particular knack for helping people discover their own strengths and find their voice. Whether he's working one-on-one with a leader or facilitating team discussions, he creates space for honest conversations that lead to genuine insights. His clients often find themselves understanding not just what they do, but how they show up in the world and impact others.
While he loves diving deep into personal growth and team dynamics, Krin also brings practical expertise in fundraising and strategic planning. He believes that healthy organizations need both strong relationships and sustainable resources to thrive.
Through The Companion Group, Krin partners with nonprofits and their leaders to navigate complexity, build stronger teams, and shape meaningful paths forward. He's particularly passionate about helping people find clarity in chaos and confidence in their next steps.
